My cats: Fjodor
If you know me a little, you know I love cats. Just absolutely adore them, I can't imagine a life without having a cat. So I am going to devote the next couple of blog posts here to my furry friends!
I've had cats since all of my adult life. My first cat was a black stray who I named Bacon, and I got him a gray buddy named Dude a couple of years later. They had a long and happy life, but they got old and a couple of years ago I found myself with no cats anymore. It was horrible!
So, two years ago I decided to adopt two new little guys. This is the first one, his name is Fjodor and he is an orange tabby mixed breed house cat. Fjodor is the Russian version of the name Theodore.
He's more like a dog. In the summers, I live in a summer house by the coast. Our closest neighbor there also happens to be my parents in law, and they have a big black labrador. Fjodor goes with them whenever they go for walks, he loves that dog. He goes with me when I go swim, although he prefers to keep his paws dry.
Fjodor talks more than any cat I ever met. We even have discussions sometimes when I tell him no, and he knows he's not allowed to do something. Anyone who knows cat behaviour will understand what I mean - I'm not crazy!
He's also a real snuggler, more than any other cat I had. He's in my lap probably 2-3 hours every day and will stand on his back legs and meow until I pick him up if I try to ignore him when I do something important. I really love this little guy!

Theodore mean Gift from God (Theos, Doros). Woman name Theodora and Dorotea is the same name but in reverse order.May 5th 2019 at 9:57 AM by Klara Schmidtz
