So, two years ago I adopted two little guys, the first one was Fjodor and the second one was his 1 month younger black brother Finkel. He was totally adorable as a kitten, I've never seen a cuter cat.

He was also like a little puppy, would follow you around everywhere and had to be with you the entire time.

And he was hilarious too. He loved all sorts of fruits and vegetables, much more than he loved meat. He would always help me cook and steal potato peels or bits of broccoli. His favourite was melon and banana.

Fjodor and Finkel were really the best buddies, they did everything together. Every nap, everytime they went to explore something or hunt something at the summer house, they did it as a pair.

He was also really, really quirky. He would do the stupidest things, and when he grew up he really looked hilarious!

He was so special and I loved him with all my heart. Unfortunately, he wasn't a very healthy little guy. He kept getting eye infections and was on medicines his entire life. Shortly before his second birthday, he got a chest infection which developed rapidly and aggressively. He had no way of beating it, so I had to say goodbye to him.

This happened at the end of the summer. Then Fjodor was just sitting at the door, meowing, for days, he wouldn't go out and would barely eat. He just waited for Finkel to come back, and it was heartbreaking.

It's sad beyond words when a beloved pet passes away. It may "just" be a pet, but they become family.
