  • Hello Everyone,

Here is a Russian Recipe for you to try 😍

    🇷🇺 Beef Stroganoff:

Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with smetana (sour cream). From its origins in mid-19th-century Russia, it has become popular around the world, with considerable variation from the original recipe.

    Ready in: 45 minutes:

    Servings: 4:

    Ingredients

    1 tbsp. Olive Oil
    1 Onion, sliced
    1 Garlic Clove
    1 tbsp. Butter
    250 Grams Mushrooms, sliced
    1 tbsp. Plain Flour
    500 Grams Fillet Steak, sliced
    150 ml. Sour Cream
    1 tbsp. Dijon Mustard
    250 ml. Beef Stock
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Chopped Chives or Parsley for garnish (optional)

    1. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and add 1 sliced onion and cook on a medium heat until completely softened, around 15 mins. You can add a little splash of water if it starts to stick.

    2. Crush in 1 garlic clove and cook for 2-3 mins more, then add the butter.

    3. Once the butter is foaming a little, add 250 grams sliced mushrooms and cook for around 5 minutes until completely softened.

    4. Season everything well with salt and pepper, then tip onto a plate.

    5. Tip the flour into a bowl with a big pinch of salt and pepper, then toss the sliced fillet steak in the seasoned flour.

    6. Add the steak pieces to the pan, splashing in a little oil if the pan looks dry, and fry for 3-4 mins, until well coloured.

    7. Tip the onions and mushrooms back into the pan. Whisk the sour cream, dijon mustard and beef stock together, then stir it into the pan. Cook over a medium heat for around 5 mins.

    8. Scatter with some chopped chives or parsley, and serve with pappardelle or rice.

I haven't tried this recipe, but I have heard of it. Sounds nice.😍
Have fun creating this recipe, good luck. 😍
    Best of luck,
    LuckyEthel (Caroline) 🇬🇧
