The perfect place...
You know, the internet really is a busy place. A distracting place. It honestly makes complete sense why so many people fail to see success when trying to make money online.

I read a story about a guy who joined the U.S. Navy when he was 19 years old because he wanted to see the world. He was from a small town and couldn’t wait to get out of there.
It was like he had looked at every place and person in that town so much, nothing really registered anymore.

So, our hero joins the Navy and for 5 years he saw everything that was out there, the people and the places. The good and the bad.

When he was done, the thought of going back home did not appeal to him so he moved from place to place, looking for the perfect spot to settle down. Nothing ever felt quite right, and the longer he stayed away from home, the less anything felt right.

Eventually, he went back home to visit his family. As he rolled into town, after being gone for so long, he noticed everything seemed a little smaller somehow, and yet he felt something else too...

He couldn’t put his finger on it.
He visited his family, and all his old friends while he was back in town. He stopped at all his old hang outs, and a certain kind of nostalgia started to set in.

But it was more than that…

Eventually he realised, this place just felt right. The people, the places, the memories. This was where he wanted to be.

He had finally found it!

He had travelled around the world searching for something that was right under his nose...he just never saw it before.

Maybe that was the journey he had to make to realise the value of what he already had.

So what is the point of this story? Why am I telling you this and what’s it got to do with making money online? You ask...

Well, I just wanted you to know that email marketing is a lot like our hero’s hometown. It seems like old hat, boring, and not as good as it once was…
