Without the use of the CD, you can also do the Linksys extender setup by pushing the WPS button. The WPS method is a very easy way to pair the extender to the router.

First, settle the power plug of the Linksys extender in the power socket. After that, verify that your extender must be placed closer to the router. Now, press the WiFi-protected setup button of your Linksys extender and within 10 seconds press the existing router WPS button. Further doing this WPS LED starts blinking solid on both extender and router device. However, it means your Linksys extender successfully linked with the router.
