Want to be successful? Most people want to taste success. But many do not know what it takes to be successful. A key ingredient is commitment. Are you committed to your dreams? This is one of the first questions you must answer in the affirmative if you are to achieve success in any area of life whether in business, relationships, as a parent. Commitment is the key!

Did you know that most businesses fail within the first three years of operation? There are many reasons for failure but, certainly, lack of commitment is high on the list. I know a restaurant owner who is a great example of commitment. He opens his restaurant at 6:00 a.m. Of course, this means that he has to be at his location well before 6. He stays there until about 3 p.m. at which point he goes home and sleeps until about 7 or 8 p.m. He then returns to his restaurant and keeps it open for the bar crowd. Often, he does not leave until 2 or 3 a.m. And, of course, he is there at 6 a.m. the next day. That is commitment!

Are you committed to your endeavour? Ask yourself the question for, if the answer is ultimately no, then you should save yourself the time and the effort of starting. If you are not fully committed, the chances of your success are low indeed!
