People in sales know that cold-calling is a necessary part of the business starting out. However, if you ask most sales people they'll tell you that cold-calling is definitely not their favorite part of the business. Once a salesperson has a list of clients, then the business becomes, not only much easier, but also much more lucrative.
If you are just posting your company's affiliate links, with no follow-up, aren't you spending all of your time cold-calling? Affiliate marketers also need a client list. The people on that list are your regular customers and, without a list, you'll spend your entire career cold-calling and, the odds are that you'll eventually leave the business.
