    Sick of Cold-Calling?




    People in sales know that cold-calling is a necessary part of the business starting out. However, if you ask most sales people they'll tell you that cold-calling is definitely not their favorite part of the business. Once a salesperson has a list of clients, then the business becomes, not only much easier, but also much more lucrative.

    If you are just posting your company's affiliate links, with no follow-up, aren't you spending all of your time cold-calling? In other words, your links are out there but people don't really know who you are. In the real world, the prospect, overwhelmingly, hangs up the phone and the salesperson doesn't get the sale. In this scenario, the prospect doesn't know, like or trust the cold-caller.

    How much different is it when the prospect (now a client) receives a call from a salesperson they have already done business with and who the prospect knows, likes and trusts?

    This is the whole reason why people in this business tell us that 'the money is in the list' and 'the fortune is in the follow up. Salespeople need a client list. Affiliate marketers also need a client list. The people on that list are your regular customers and, without a list, you'll spend your entire career cold-calling and, the odds are that you'll eventually leave the business.

    Moral: The money is in the list and the fortune is in the follow-up. Accordingly, start building your list today!
