    What is Egg Foo Young?

Egg foo young is a quick and yummy street food recipe that has taken over the street of many Asian countries. There are several reasons behind this. One is that it is super delicious and super filling. If you are out at night for a party, this dish can surely be your quick, healthy, and delicious dinner. Now, the other fact is that it may look a bit complicated to make, but in reality, it is an extremely easy recipe. Basically, it is an Asian-style omelet that consists of soy sauces, sesame oil, and sometimes meat.

    What All will you need?

Well, to begin with, for the egg foo young recipe, you will need 10 eggs, a fresh and fine cut of mixed vegetables, light soy sauce, and sesame oil. However, if you wish to add/mix your own element to this egg foo young dish, you can also pick up some dry meat. If you are a meat/chicken lover, then you can add some sausages or bacon to it.

    Egg Foo Young Recipe

To start the recipe for this amazing foo young, you need to break and beat up the 10 eggs in an open container or bowl. Make sure that you use a big bowl, as more ingredients will be going into this.

Once the eggs are mixed up well, it is time to add the fresh cut of finely chopped vegetables. Make sure that you use less watery vegetables like tomatoes so that the eggs won’t lose their froth. Once the veggies are mixed up with the eggs, it is time to add up the light soy sauce. However, if you don’t have the light one, add just a small amount of dark soy to this as you don’t want the eggs to turn black or dark brown.

After this, take a non-stick pan or a skillet and heat up some quality sesame oil on medium heat. Now, wait till the oil is heated up well enough before you add the eggs to it. Now, here is where the tricky/vital part starts. As soon as you add up the egg and veggies mixture in the sesame oil, you have to carefully turn it and ensure that the eggs are cooked up thoroughly on both sides. Be ready with a flat and clean spatula so that you can flip over the eggs after every 2 minutes. Now, once you know that you see that they are golden brown and fully on both sides, you can take them off the pan, and they are ready to serve! Enjoy the warm egg foo young with some fish sauce or any other sauce of your choice!
