There is a tried-and-true technique that you may use to solve problems with your Linksys WiFi extender setup fast and effectively. Making sure your extender is properly wired to a power supply and situated within the coverage area of your current WiFi network is the first step.

Try doing a factory reset on your extender to resolve setup issues. Find the reset button on the device, which is typically located on the side or back, then push and hold it there for approximately 10 seconds until the extender's lights begin to flash. By doing this, you can reset the extender to its factory settings and perform the Linksys re6700 setup from scratch. The extender should then be reconfigured using the Linksys app or the extender's web-based setup page.
