You can buy anything in Hungry For Hits with your Commissions and cash prizes. The purchase is automatic and your account will be updated immediately. The red "Buy with Commissions" button will only be available if you have enough funds in your account, and it looks like this:

If you want to buy something from the Candy shop, where you only can pay with Piggy Bank funds, you can transfer commissions to Piggy Bank first. You get a 20% bonus when you transfer commissions to your Piggy Bank, but once you've transferred the funds, they can't be paid out like commissions anymore and have to be used for purchases.
