The Downline builders are for you to passively promote the programs inside to your referrals, or to their referrals in unlimited levels. So the programs listed will show the links that your upline filled in. If they haven't filled any links in, it will go to their upline. If they haven't filled in their ID either, it will keep checking each upline until it eventually defaults to admin's ID.

The links in the downline builder always display the links from your upline. Either from your direct upline or from someone in their upline (depends if they filled in their ID or not). Your upline's links don't change just because you fill in your ID for a site for your own referrals.

So after you have filled in your IDs in the downline builder, all your referrals (and their referrals in unlimited levels) will see your links in their downline builders. And your IDs will also be on the promotional pages where you can promote programs from the downline builder. If you are unsure, you can check splashpage number 17 from the Promo Tools and see how the IDs change after you fill them in into the downline builder for any of the sites on there.

However, it you go check the downline builder links after filling something in, it will still show you your upline's IDs if you click on something. Their IDs were not removed for their own referrals. That is how downline builders work, there is nothing wrong with them. You just don't see your own ID in your upline's link.
