Traffic Exchanges used to be a big deal around 15 years ago. There were SO many more people involved back then. It was a different time.
It's still the same concept, though the 'big names' are mostly gone. The reason (of course) is because social media, YouTube, etc. have taken over.
The Sad Truth: Traffic Exchanges are old news. Really old.
With a TE you've got mere seconds and no way to explain what you're advertising. Think of it like a billboard on the freeway.
It doesn't help that everyone is advertising the same thing to each other either - i.e. 'more traffic' and 'clicking for pennies'. Not only that, but 99% of the users are either clicking so fast that they don't pay attention, or they're not really even there at all.
STILL... there is that 3%.
Sometimes I feel sorry for that small group. Why? Because I was one of them once. I fell for every blinking-light/flashing-image scam you'll see here in the blizzard of BS that pollute TE's. I actually believed these people and lost a sh*t ton of time and money - and I don't know which one's worse.
Nonetheless, I somehow made it work - and I think that you still can. I wouldn't be here if I didn't. The key is understanding who's on the other side of the screen.
It's fundamental.
Sad to say, but here's another ugly truth: you'd probably be shocked (or maybe not) by what the average TE user actually looks like. I'm talking penniless kids, broke losers, trailer parks, ghetto apartments, nursing homes and dimly lit warehouses in Pakistan (full of slave labor).
Well... I'm only half joking.
Only 3% of your audience here (if that) has any money. Everyone one else will only join your program if it's free, they don't have to do anything or have to use their brains.
Like I said, though... you CAN still have success if you are consistent, persistent and stand out from the crowd.
TE's are incredibly sloooooooooow... but they're not entirely dead yet.
Good luck with this one (Klara is doing a fantastic job, btw), and I'll have some more to say about my TE experience soon.
(Disclaimer: I'm not trying to run down TE's or those who use them. I'm here, after all. I just learned a few things years ago that still apply today - and maybe some of that can help you.)
